i think we're blessed.

i know things aren't always perfect between us,
and certainly not always easy,
but as i look around us,
i think we're blessed...

some people don't have someone special in their lives, like you and i do.
they don't have someone to share their joy, their problems, their solutions.
they have no one to learn life's lessons with and to help them grow stronger.
they don't have someone to tell things to, someone who will forgive them if they mess up.

some people don't have an everyday companion to be there for them in every bend in the road.
they don't have someone to worry about them when something in their life is going wrong.
they may not have anyone to pray for their safety and well-being and happiness.

as i think about what could and could not be, i'm thankful for what is and what isn't.
i'm thankful for you, for me, for our love.
i'm thankful for what we do have.
i'm thankful that we have each other, and i hope you are,too.

i think we're blessed.
