    8pm.
    Araneta Coliseum.

    The Script Live in Manila

I may have missed Bruno Mars and Michael Copon; but Danny, Mark, and Glen all made up for it in the BEST. WAY. EVER.

I haven't really watched a lot of big concerts; my first was the Pussycat Dolls concert in 2009 at the MOA Concert grounds, then there was the Changing Lives concert with Timbaland, Justin Timberlake and Jojo, and the Jay Sean concert last year which I got to watch thanks to the tickets I won thru a contest by Magic 89.9. I also got to see Boyce Avenue's show at the San Mig by the bay area in MOA, as well as Jason Derulo's and Jason Castro's Glorietta mall shows. I did miss a lot of awesome concerts (Usher, Paramore, Adam Lambert, David and David, etc.), but this one, there was no way I'm going to miss it.

We bought tickets a month before the actual concert date. Yep, we were that excited and sure of going. We settled for Gen Ad, since Araneta naman eh, much better than Gen Ad at the MOA concert grounds. On the day of the concert, we were supposed to go to the venue early, to see if we could get good seats, but we ended up entering the venue a few minutes before 8, which was the actual start of the show, and ended up standing at the back of the Gen Ad area, but was all worth it.

I liked the fact that there was no front acts because at least when the show starts, hindi paasa, main event na kaagad. =D And then it was time.

I never thought they had such a huge fan base here in the Philippines. I didn't even think that their concert was going to be sold out, not until news came out that tickets were actually sold out. But upon hearing this I was very happy and excited for them. I must admit that I've only known the band for probably one to two years. A friend just happened to introduce them to me, and just like that, I've been a fan ever since. Their songs are very relate-able, and you could easily sing along to it. Every song has a story in it, I sometimes even think that some songs are actually connected to each other, and the lyrics are just genius; I really love the lyrics to their songs.

When the band started playing, the crowd, including us of course, started singing, and it felt so good to be a part of it; and to be in the presence of The Script. I couldn't even hear much of Danny singing because of the loudness of the crowd, everyone was singing and screaming and going crazy and just enjoying the whole concert. They sang a total of 15 songs all in all, and the only part that the crowd didn't sing to much is when the band played their song I'm Yours, which is a slow song. I'm bummed that they didn't sing Long Gone and Moved On, but nevertheless, I got to hear and sing to The Man Who Can't Be Moved, Before the Worst, Talk You Down, Rusty Halo, Science and Faith, For the First Time, and Breakeven. (And the other songs of course!)

This is by far the best concert I've been to. 2 hours of standing was worth it, the ticket price was worth it, everything was worth it. We'll see which concert tops this one on my list. =D We'll all be waiting, The Script, when you guys come back. It'll be one awesome night once again. =D

    P.S.
I joined one of the contests for a meet and greet pass with the band, but of course, I did not win, haha. Better luck next time!
