1. Mercato & UAAP All in One Day

    Friday, August 5, 2011

First week of August has flown by really fast! Don't you think? And I know it's about time I update my blog!

Though this is a bit late, it's worthy of a blog post, really. This doesn't happen very often and I'm very happy that it did!

Last July 30, I had a long date with Mom. Actually this has been going on for a while now, spontaneous mall visits, movies, and food trips of course. Wala, nahihilig lang gumala. It won't be complete without the food trip. =))

Our agenda for July 30 was go to Mercato to support Joyce, my college friend who is currently studying at CCA (Center for Culinary Arts), and to watch the UST-FEU game. Yes, I got my Mom, finally, to watch a UAAP game with me. =)) Our next project is the Shakey's V-League.

So first up, Mercato. Goodness, entrance pa lang, ang dami nang free taste! Dun pa lang, I love Mercato already. Hahaha! We haven't even found Joyce, nakakain na kami. :)) They had an event there, and siyempre, support your friend! Their food's awesome, I don't usually eat curry but I almost finished theirs. Then we also had some isaw and barbeque. And for dessert? This oh-so-delicious Kesong Puti Cheesecake! Grabe, suuuuuuuper sarap. =))

I wanted to try a lot! But I might end up too full or bankrupt. So we had to leave early. We also wanted to make it to Araneta early. But of course, we did not leave empty handed. We had some take out; a Cappuccino Muffin which I ate while we were on our way to Cubao, then the muncheez cereal bars which I bought because the kuya offering it was cute and walang pumapansin sa kanya so medyo naawa naman ako. Joke! =)) I was really interested din naman, and it's good. =D Then also some pianono, na lasang leche flan ang filling, sarap lang e. =)) Joyce gave me that pack of Hunt's Tomato Sauce. Freebie? :))

Next stop, Araneta! At first I thought my mom wouldn't go with me to the games, but she did! Thanks, Ma. =)) We were there early, so we hang out at Gateway first, then ended up in Starbucks. We saw Hans Montenegro there, who looked so bulky. We also Martin Reyes and Riki Flores. =D The saddest part was I had the chance to talk to Kirk Long or at least have my picture taken with him, but naunahan ako ng hiya. We bumped into him when we arrived, he was alone, and I was shy, so all I could do was get all kilig, and tell my mom, "Mama si Kirk Long!!" Then that was it, he was gone. Damn. =)) Pero kung si Jeric Teng 'yun, o si Wesley Gonzales, ay, ibang usapan na 'yan. =))

First game was the Battle of Katipunan, UP vs. Ateneo, where Ateneo won. Next was UST vs. FEU! I was so nervous for this game and I didn't know what to expect. It turned out to be a very good game!!! Grabe, super fun, and super na-miss ko mag-cheer ng ganun for UST! =)) They led for most of the game, but medyo kinulang sa end game, and sinuwerte si Chris Tolomia from FEU, so he hit that three pointer which cost us the game. Yeah, tough luck. But still, I super looooved that game, and Jeric Teng had such a great game! Chris Camus, as always, and Abdul is really improving. I love it. I love 'em Tigers. =)) I went out of the Coliseum disappointed that we didn't win, but I arrived home happy because we had this tiring but fun bonding day, me and mom. =D

It was also a pretty weird day. A taxi driver splashed water all over our car, as in naging zero visibility so we had to stop abruptly, that was super not cool and the taxi driver was parang smirking pa, hmph; then there was this lady who didn't have any clothes on in the middle of the road. But we survived! Haha. On Sunday, it's UST vs. UP and I'm watching it with Kuya naman. No Mercato this time, haha, but I hope we would still have fun. And I hope we win! Go USTe! =D
