It's that time of the year once again where we witness the 'gorgeous journey' to crowning a new American Idol. It is American Idol's 11th season this year, and the talents just keep getting better and better, and the number of auditionees get so much bigger. It is both fortunate and unfortunate in a way; fortunate because we get to see and hear all these amazing talented people while unfortunate because as we know only a few can go through.

It's not enough that you're good to be able to make it in this competition. You have to be amazing, or at least be able to blow the judges' minds away even with just one line of a song. During the auditions we've seen people who are pretty good, but they don't make the cut because something's still missing. Then hollywood week came and the pressure was so intense that a lot of the contestans suddenly were fainting here and there, as we also see more talents facing the end of the line of their journey. Not everyone can be accommodated and only the best of the best can stay.

Then the contestants are down to the top 25, and the live shows start. 13 boys and 12 girls battled head to head to sing and fight for their survival, and for a spot in the final top 13. I personally liked Jessica Sanchez's and most of the guy's performances; Colton Dixon, Phillip Phillips, Reed Grimm, Deandre Brackensick, to name a few. There's a lot of very talented guys in this year's American Idol!

After two nights of perfomances, the results are in...

I checked out live blogs this morning to see who makes the cut.

Here are the top 10 contestants after the nationwide voting:

The judges then picked six singers from the bottom 15 to give them another shot and choose from among them the three wildcard picks. The six singers are:

Personally, I wanted the three wildcard picks to be Reed Grimm, Deandre Brackensick, and Aaron Marcellus. I just couldn't pick someone from the girls but maybe Jen Hirsh or Brielle Von Hugel would be okay as wildcard picks. Too bad Aaron Marcellus didn't even get the chance to sing again.

Why not Reed Grimm???? *sigh* I really wish Reed Grimm was chosen over Jeremy Rosado. Well I haven't watched their(6 wildcard picks) performances yet so maybe that has to do something about why the judges chose these three people. But yay for Deandre! :D (I think Deandre will smash the song Loving You by Minnie Ripperton.)

My favorites from this group so far are Phillip Phillips, ever since he first auditioned I've loved him. Jessica Sanchez of course, Filipino pride, and have you hear her sing? If not then you should. Heejun Han, just because I think he's adorable and I love that he's a balladeer. Jermaine Jones, the gentle giant. Deandre Brackensick because of his hair and his crazy falsetto voice. And Colton Dixon, he's a real rockstar in the making! Joshua Ledet's also really, really good.

I'm not sure why but I'm just really not feeling the other girls right now that much. Although I think Skylar Laine will do good too, I just wish she'd tone down the crazy rockstar moves a bit. The guys on the other hand have a pretty tight competition between them. As I mentioned, there's just too many guys with great talent that it's so hard to choose from among them! I guess we'll just have to wait and see what they all could give and what special performances they could do in the next live shows.

Some of the people that I liked who didn't make it: Travis Orlando, Schyler Dixon and Lauren Gray and that black girl who has a boyfriend who got a stroke and forgot who she was? Can't remember her name but yeah, too bad these people didn't make it.
