What I like about eating out is the feeling you get when you’re actually at the restaurant than when you just have the food delivered at your doorstep. Especially if it’s your first time there; you get the whole feel of it, the whole experience. Unfortunately my mom doesn’t share the same views as I have, so we don’t really get to eat out a lot.
Ironically though, I’ve slowly been becoming fond of eating out and trying new restaurants that according to my friends are okay, especially now that I can afford those scrumptious meals with my own money. I haven’t gone far out though yet; I haven’t treated myself to a Friday’s meal (with my own money), or to Fish & Co., Racks, Don Henrico’s, Italianni’s, and the like. (You know what I mean.) I’m starting with the more affordable ones first; Pancake House, Teriyaki Boy, Icebergs desserts, The Old Spaghetti House, Carlo’s Pizza, etc., which before I’ve only wished for of eating at during special occasions.
Above all these, there are those restaurants though that I’ve always wanted to try. Either I’ve always seen them, they look interesting, the food really looks yummy, or reviews from other people are really good. Let me enumerate (in no particular order) some of the places that I have been wanting to visit for some time now.
Heaven & Eggs
I’ve always seen this Heaven n Eggs branch at Glorietta 4 whenever we’re there for our movie night, and I’ve always thought of eating there one time. I’ve heard some friends say that it is good, and it DOES look good. Price range is from P200-P499; looks fair enough to me considering how appetizing those meals appear. Breakfast at any time of the day!
Flapjacks

The Burger Project
Who doesn’t like burgers? I mean, one way or another, you just got to love those big, mouth-watering burgers. So I think The Burger Project is such a clever idea. It lets you create your own burgers; from choosing the buns, to choosing the patties, up until the other toppings and sauces for your burger. For P200-P300, with drinks and sidings, you have just created your very own burger! So you really can’t blame them if what you did doesn’t taste great, because you created that. Hah! Well I’m sure they’re helpful enough to tell you what’s good together and what’s not. :P Though it’s located at the other end of the road for me, I would definitely travel Las Piñas to Diliman for these good looking burgers! I definitely have to try this soon. (You know Paolo Bugia, the former Blue Eagle? It’s theirs, or at least he’s one of the owners or something.)
Banapple

Tutti Frutti Megamall |
I thought yogurts were just really sour even with all the toppings and stuff, until I’ve tried Red Mango. I believe that was my first frozen yogurt, and it wasn’t that bad after all. Then recently I’ve heard about Tutti Frutti, a create-your-own-frozen-yogurt thing. You get to serve yourself with how much yogurt you want, your own choices from a wide variety of toppings, and syrup, and then pay for how much your personalized yogurt weighs. I believe it is P20/ounce. Maybe you could add the other toppings yourself, so that you won’t have to pay for the extra weight. Just a thought. :D
Outback Steakhouse
Steaks look very heavy and filling, that’s why I don’t usually order them. But I would love to try them sometime, most probably here at Outback Steakhouse. There’s also that Highland’s Steakhouse in MOA that I would love to try too. I’ve heard good reviews for Outback, and I think it’s about time that I give it a try. Expect that this is going to be costly, as all steaks usually are. But expect too that you will not leave the restaurant with a half-filled stomach.
Peanut Butter & Co.
I am not really a fan of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and I’m not even sure if I have tried one at least. But I sure am excited to try a Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter, or White Chocolate Peanut Butter, or even a Classic Spaghetti made of Sun Dried Tomato, Peanut Butter and Meat Sauce. And it’s all here in Peanut Butter & Co.! From what I’ve heard, food here is actually good, even though it’s a bit odd that their pasta and BLT sandwich has peanut butter on it. An interesting meal for P150-P250, not bad.

I got hungry while doing this post, seriously.
I do hope to be able to visit these places soon though.
Let's food trip! Happy eating!
For Banapple, make sure you're hungry! Huge servings, man. :P All delish too!
Tried H&E earlier this year, it was okay. :)
Hindi ko pa rin natatry ang Flapjacks!
Prices are worth it naman? Malapit na talaga, malapit ko nang matikman ang Banapple, haha!
Mahal naman daw kasi sa Flapjacks pati, pero it's still part of my list :))
