Finally, after a week, here it is! This was how I spent the previous long weekend. :)
October 30: First up was a movie date with my bets Tin. Watched The Social Network at Greenbelt after pigging out with nachos, fries, smoothies, from Fuzion. Mark Zuckerberg is one hell of a weirdly genius billionaire.
October 31-November 1: Manila Memorial Park to visit Nanay & Tatay (grandparents from mom's side), Lola Felisa (great grandmother), Lolo Jong (my mom's uncle), and Lola Tita (my mom's aunt). We were there around 9pm, and there was a lot of people. A lot of candles, flowers, tents, pillows and blankets, children, food, chit chats, picture taking, food stalls, a baby crying, a sudden fireworks display, etc. The cemetery was so full of life. We prayed first after setting up our spot. We had a mantel, some foldable chairs and junk food with us, then we bought pizza and mojos from Shakey's at 12mn, and chatted and laughed the night away. We were even able to watch Vampires Suck 'cause I brought my portable DVD with me. Some went home earlier when it started drizzling, good thing the rain didn't pour hard. We left Memorial at around 5-6am of November 1. I just pity those who can't even find where their loved ones are buried. And I thought I was going to have my first taste of Army Navy burgers there, sadly there was only one stall which was far from where we are.
November 1: We had to go to Bulacan to visit my Lolo & Lola there (grandparents from dad's side), and two of my uncles (my dad's brothers). So after we've got some sleep, we were off. I actually felt sick when we arrived home from Manila Memorial. But I wanted to go to Bulacan too, so I shrugged it off, drank some meds and went with my mom and kuya. There was a lot of people too at the cemetery there, but there was even more people during night time. We saw relatives there, cousins, aunts and uncles, we also had some food, and at around 8pm we had to go home. I only stayed for a while at the cemetery, because I still wasn't feeling well, luckily my granparents' house is not that far so I just stayed there while my mom and kuya stayed at the cemetery.
So, how was yours? :)
