We made our reservations for the sea tour through the guy whom we made arrangements with for our day tour. The sea tour starts at 5:30am, and once again, our guide/boatman, Kuya Dodong, was on time! We didn't know how we were going to get out of the hotel, since the front door was locked, and there was no one at reception. Good thing there was this bell thing, and someone opened the door for us.

This was my first time on a small boat, and also my first time to wear a life jacket! =)) The sea tour starts early with the dolphin watching, since it was at this time that the dolphins are usually seen. I guess it's the weather change, since according to our boatman, the dolphins disappear later in the day.
I think we were traveling at sea for about an hour already, and we haven't seen any dolphins yet. I honestly was starting to worry. Casey and I were both excited for this, especially Casey, and it would just be really heartbreaking if we leave this place unsuccessful. Then our boatman suddenly changed direction, and then we saw all these boats already there ahead of us, and suddenly, dolphins started to show up! There were a lot of them and it was so much fun to look at! I also kind of enjoyed looking for them around the sea, and if you're lucky, they would suddenly come out of nowhere near your boat. It happened to us, and we were just really very ecstatic! We weren't able to take pictures of the dolphins, just videos.
I'd like to think that's a dolphin right there, but I'm really not sure, I just randomly clicked, haha. |
This was the site for snorkeling. I haven't done it before, so I was both excited and nervous, and I wasn't really going snorkeling unless I was wearing my life jacket. We had a different guide for the snorkeling, Kuya Jerome, and he was really nice. Since Casey knows how to swim, our guide only needed to assist me, and I didn't remove my hand from his shoulders all the way, especially at the deep parts of the sea. =))
It was so beautiful seeing all the corals and all different kinds of fishes! Too bad we didn't have an underwater camera. We even had some biscuits so that we could feed the fish. It was a really wonderful experience. I just forgot to take a picture of me wearing the snorkeling gear. Haha!
We had our lunch there at the island as well. Half kilo of shrimp with butter and garlic; it was soooo good. =)) Pwede nang hindi tipid mode eh! =))
They robbed us. =)) |
We left the island at 11am, and we still have one more destination. Our checkout at the hotel was at 12nn, so when the boatman asked if we still wanted to go to our last destination, of course we said yes, and told him that it's okay if we go back to our hotel late. We're already here anyway. And our last destination was the Virgin Island.
The island was so beautiful, even from afar, and the sand was really fine, and the trees there were just awesome to look at. We really couldn't do much at the island; there was only a small portion where you could really swim since all the other parts were crowded with sea weeds. We just took a stroll, took some pictures, and then we were off.
We arrived at the hotel at 1pm and hurriedly prepared to leave since our latest checkout was at 2pm and our transportation to the airport was already there too. It was time to go.
We had our last meal at this small restaurant at Tagbilaran airport while waiting for our flight, (where I bought a last minute pasalubong-Pastel) and while we were talking about our trip, that was when we really realized that we had loads of fun. we were tired, lacking sleep, skins red because of staying under the sun too long without any sunblock (that was what we forgot, haha!), but it was a very happy trip.
The trip was short, but we were to leave Bohol in high spirits, and already with plans of going back. We really enjoyed our stay there, and after experiencing something like that, and wanting to try other things we weren't able to due to lack of budget and time, we were sure that we wanted to go back. I was very thankful that we pushed through with this trip, and that Casey was really nice enough to go with me even if it was just the two of us. Until we meet again, Bohol! =D
Wow, Bohol looks so nice! I wanna go there as well! What was your budget for the whole trip pala? Is it affordable, with the tour packages and stuff? Kasi I've been told that it's cheaper if you go in groups eh.
Super nice! It's worth visiting! Initially, 6,000-7,000 ang target namin, not including yung airfare diyan. Medyo mahal din yung pinagstay-an namin eh, you can find cheaper places there, marami naman, dapat lang siguro maaga mag-book. Medyo mahal lang din yung food. And yes, cheaper talaga kapag group, super, haha. Yung sa mga packages, hindi ako sure eh, pero minsan kasi hindi yata nacocover lahat ng places unlike yung sa day tour namin diyan. Pero siguro may mga okay na packages din dun.
