1. Christmas Happiness

    Wednesday, December 28, 2011

Schedule has been crazy ever since December started; just like how it has always been in the past years. This year's extra special since my Dad is here for the holidays after so many years. He arrived last December 7, and now it's only about 9 days before he leaves again. Yes, time flies. And ever since he arrived, we've always had somewhere to go during the weekends. So we really haven't had a free weekend that much.

It's all fun though, and we still get to spend time with each other which is what's most important. I wish we could've had time to go on an out of town trip, just the four of us, but unfortunately, time and schedule does not permit. So we just make use of what time we have, in which we have been successful.

Now, I don't want to let the year end without sharing what has been going on for me during this holiday season. So let me just tell you the fun times I've been having with friends and family.
December 21, 2011 was the Terasystem Christmas Party. This is the only Christmas party where I really was all dressed and dolled up. I also got to give gifts to some close friends, which I wasn't able to do previously. (There's some kind of a hidden meaning in there.) We even did a shufflin' flash mob during the Christmas party. Good job officemates!

Then there was the Christmas party for our zone here in our subdivision the next day. I got to host it again for the third straight year. It's either they're getting used to it, or that they couldn't find any other host so they just give me the job. Nevertheless, I like it. =D The kids were all game, the adults were...just like how they are, adults. But no doubt, this year is the best among the three Christmas parties I've attended so far. We had a problem giving away the prize donations so we had to do games where everyone will win. It's all for the kids anyway. =))

December 23 was devoted to Christmas shopping. I didn't have to go to work anymore after the office Christmas party since I filed my leaves already. I went to Glorietta, Landmark, and last stop was MOA. Good thing I was able to finish everything within the day, including shopping for my clothes. Then it was gift wrapping section in our living room right after, since I didn't want to hassle myself on Christmas eve with more gift wrapping.

Then, Christmas eve was of course spent with family. We went to hear mass at 9pm, then had our noche buena, picture taking, and gift giving. These all felt really extra special because of my Dad. Hopefully he could come home during this time more often. Christmas day was still spent with family both from mom's and dad's side. Lunch-merienda was for mom, and dinner was for dad. And as if Christmas is extended, we spent December 27 with relatives from mom's side since it was my Lola's birthday. Days filled with stories, laughter and food never fails to make someone smile. :) *and gain pounds!*

We've also been preparing for our trip tomorrow, which reminds me that I haven't packed my stuff yet. My cousin's getting married in Romblon, and me, my dad, and my mom are going there. My dad will accompany her to the altar (Her dad is my dad's brother who passed away when I was still two) and I will be included in the secondary sponsors. We're leaving early tomorrow, and going home early on December 31; the wedding's on the 30th. I am excited and nervous at the same time; nervous because I am worried that our flight will get delayed on the 31st. Hopefully not. :)) It's mom's first time on a plane too. =D

So there you have it. A fun-filled Christmas with friends and family. I hope everyone enjoyed theirs. Then, in a few days' time we'll be ushering in the new year which makes me excited and nervous again. Big things are about to happen. For the better. =D

A prosperous new year to everyone! =D
