Aaaaaand I’m back! Because I don’t want this month to end without another blog post from me, let me just give you some updates.

I haven’t blogged about it yet, but I, together with my mom and my brother, went to the Panagbenga Festival 2011 in Baguio. Then the weekend right after that, I was back in Baguio for our company outing. I promise I will blog about those trips once I’ve transferred the pictures.

For the past few days, a friend has been confiding regarding a problem that he has. It is very surprising since we are really not that close, but ever since this unfortunate event, he has considered me to be one of his close friends. Ironic as it may sound but I am happy that I could help other people just by listening to them, and giving advices from time to time, and bonus is I’m gaining friends! Thank you! :)

In other news, the Azkals qualified for the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup! This is just another reason for Pinoys to celebrate and be proud of our country, especially these people who represent our country. Congratulations!

And in other sports news, the UST Tigers mean serious business in preparation for the coming UAAP Season 74. They have joined three leagues, the 2011 MBL Open basketball championship, the PBA D-League, and the 2011 FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup which is the main preseason summer tournament between UAAP and NCAA teams. The MBL is not as popular as the other two leagues, but will still help the Tigers in the same way. They currently have two wins and no loss yet in the MBL, where they play as the UST-Ironcon Builders. UST is the only UAAP team to join the MBL.

  2. The Disciplinarian

Physically, they may be gone. But in our hearts and minds, they will remain forever.

When a loved one's sick, and the doctors have already told you that they're not going to last very long, how do you prepare yourself? Simple. You just can't.

It is always hard to lose someone you love. Even though each time you see them you think that they're not going to last very long, when that moment comes, it just happens, and will still take you by surprise.

Me and my brother, together with our cousins (in our mom's side) are lucky to have a number of grandmothers and grandfathers to whom we've grown very close to. We owe it all to our parents, uncles, aunts, and of course to our grandmothers and grandfathers. They did a very good job of keeping the family close; keeping the family together. Lola Felisa and Lolo Entong must be very happy and proud of their bunch. :) We'll do our very best to continue this.

  3. Help?

    Wednesday, March 2, 2011

I have a problem, and I need your help.

You see, I am in love. Rather, I think I am in love, with someone I know I can't have.

And I can't seem to determine when enough is enough.

Question: When you love someone, even if you know you can't have them, do you stop loving them?
Follow-up question: And if you do, how?

  4. Studio 116

    Friday, February 25, 2011

This, I would just like to share to everyone. :)

If you want to take up ballroom dancing classes, or just dance for fun, for exercise, or for past time, try this studio. Studio 116 is located at Suite 135-B Ground Floor, LRI Plaza, 210 Nicanor Garcia St. (formerly Reposo St.), Bel-Air II, Makati City.

They have different kinds of classes, morning and evening. You don't need to have a partner to enroll, you could enroll by yourself and they will provide your partner when time comes that you need one. But, you could also enroll as a couple. The people here are really nice too, and the teachers are good. :)

I think they have dance classes every month. Check them out! :)

  5. Pambihira!

    Monday, February 21, 2011

I will try and make sense of this informal blog post for today, since what I'll be writing is 'informal' too.

Pambihira nga ba itong araw na 'to? Sakto lang. Masaya, nakakainis, malungkot, makulit, atbp.

Arte e 'no? E sa ang ganda niya ngumiti e, mangingiti ka rin, haha! Bukas sana makita ko siya ulit, at makausap ko, para naman masaya. =P

  6. Happy Valentine's Day!

    Tuesday, February 15, 2011

    Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

I know a lot of people consider Valentine's Day to be a day for couples, or those who have their significant others. I used to think about it that way too, but time changes everything. So now, even if I don't have my special someone, I've felt Valentine's Day in a way and celebrated it too as well.

Here was how I "celebrated" my February 14, 2011.

I was all dressed up. Haha! It looked like I will be having a date at the end of the day (an officemate actually asked me if I had one because I was wearing a dress), but honestly, I just felt like being all girly. Besides, I had my foot spa, mani-pedi, and a haircut the previous day. Yes, I'm all set and prepared for V-Day, even without a date.

  7. Let's Wait A While

    Thursday, February 10, 2011

I heard a story over the radio yesterday, a love story to be specific. It was about this guy who fell for this girl when they were still in high school, but he never actually got to be with the girl even if he thought that time that she was ‘the one’, the girl that he was going to marry. He was persistent though, they had an open communication with each other even if they were both committed to other people, even telling stories to each other about their current relationships. The guy would make sure that he would make time for the girl whenever the girl came back to the Philippines from some other country. And when the girl’s about to come home, he would also do something that would make him and his current girlfriend quarrel.

So it seemed as if the guy never forgot about the girl, or whatever he had for the girl. While the girl really didn’t quite like the guy the way the guy liked her, at first. Eventually, she became into him too. According to the guy, they really didn’t become official girlfriend/boyfriend to each other, but now, after 10 years or so, they’re engaged to each other.

    She was indeed ‘the one.’

A fitting example for the saying ‘good things come to those who wait.

Who else could manage the same patience as this guy has? I wonder if I would be able to have the same kind of patience…or if I would meet a guy who’s that patient and/or persistent. Hahaha.

Valentine’s Day is 4 days away, but love is already in the air.

    P.S.
Here’s what could be the start of something new. But it got rejected almost immediately. Oh well, as what it says, “Let’s try another day.” :))

  8. Cheers to 400 years!

    Sunday, January 30, 2011

WARNING: This post is by a Thomasian, so it's just school pride at its best. =D

Having a centennial celebration is something.

Celebrating a sesquicentennial is really big.

But celebrating a Quadricentennial...now that is AMAZING.

Being the oldest university in Asia, the University of Santo Tomas has made a name for itself not just in the Philippines but in other parts of the world as well. And being part of this institution, I am really proud to have been able to witness the Quadricentennial celebration of my beloved university.

I may have only spent 4 years within the walls of UST, but it's enough to make me a true Thomasian, heart and soul. (Not that I've forgotten that I am, too, a Josephian. =D) My friends would know how much of a real Tiger I am, from the inter-collegiate intramurals within the university's different colleges, up to the UAAP games, and now during the Quadricentennial celebration. I may have flooded twitter with too many #UST400 tweets these past few days for them to be able to know that I am a very proud Thomasian, and that our university is celebrating it's 400th year of existence.

As much as I wanted to attend all of the university's activities, I couldn't because aside from the fact that I am not a student anymore, have to follow work schedule too of course.

So this was how we celebrated with our fellow Thomasians...
